Are Snacks Available?
We can provide snacks such as cookies or sweet bread in addition to the appetizers available on the menu. If you are planning a day at the waterfall area, we can also provide a picnic lunch for you to bring with.

Do you have internet connectivity?
We provide free wireless service to those with their own laptops.

Are children and families welcome?
Rancho DiAndrew is a family friendly establishment that is safe and secure and offers family friendly areas. Each additional person past two is an additional $10 per cabin.

Are there refrigerators in the cabins?
There is a community kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink and dishes to cook your own meals.

How do I get around?
The local bus system is very reliable and runs regularly. In order to get to Rancho DiAndrew, it is recommended that guests rent a car. However, it is possible for EDI to shuttle guests once a day down to the town of Uvita. There are also several taxis that have variable rates.

How do we get to the resort?
From San Jose, there is a bus service to Uvita, our closest city. There are two different bus options from the airport; a direct route called Easy Ride ($50 USD each way) or the Musoc ($8 USD) which goes to San Isidro, our nearest large city. From San Isidro you can get on the bus to Uvita. The are also a number of rental car companies that are located near the San Jose airport and in Uvita.

How many camping sites do you have?
There are two private tent cabin sites, one group tent site, and a two bedroom two bath house available on the property.

How many people can one tent sleep?
Our private tent cabins can sleep four people. The largest tent A the ranchero can sleep about 10 people.

What amenities are nearby?
Just about 7K away in the town of Uvita, you can find most of the comforts of home while getting a taste of the local culture. There are two supermarkets both with a butcher’s section and a wide selection of products. There are several clothing stores, sodas (restaurants with local cuisine), and an indoor soccer stadium. Costa Rica is known for its beaches and there are several to choose from in the local of RDI. We are about 5K from Playa Hermosa, 9K away from Mariano Ballena National Park, and about 15K away from Playa Dominical, a surfing hot spot.

Is there room service available?
RDI offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner that can be served A your tent cabin or in the common Rancho area. Continental breakfast is included and can be taken to the tent cabin or served at the Rancho, at the request of the guest.

Are mosquito nets available?
Mosquito nets are provided the Backpacker’s Retreat Dorm and both Cabins, however many guests find them unnecessary.

What is luxury camping?
At Rancho DiAndrew guests stay in a large Bhurj tent that is 18. in diameter and secured to an over sized cement platform with private bathrooms, and a private outdoor shower that overlooks the jungle below and the Whale’s Tail Peninsula We offer areas where guests can barbecue on a propane or coal fueled grill and cook meals on their own in addition to our quality, room ser

Where would we fly into?
When coming to Costa Rica, most people fly into San Jose Santamaria international airport. There is a domes6c carrier, Frontier Air that offers Eights through out the country from San Jose (rates available online). Our closest local airport is located in Palmar Norte and is about a 40 minute drive from the resort.
